Hot Rolling and Plate ProcessingSlabs are reheated and passed through a series of rolling stands that progressively reduce the thickness while the steel is still hot, producing a uniform plate with a characteristic mill scale surface. Selecting Sheet vs Plate and GradeMaterial up to about 3 mm is normally supplied as sheet (from coil), while 3 mm and above is plate. Choose S235JR for general fabrication where strength is secondary, S275JR for standard structural duty, and S355J2 (+N) for heavy sections and welded structures exposed to low temperatures. If the plate will be formed or welded extensively, confirm the carbon equivalent and request normalized delivery for thick sections.

Can you cut plates to size for fabrication?Yes — plasma cutting, flame cutting and CNC cutting to your drawings are available, with cutting tolerances suitable for structural and machine components. Scrap loss stays at your site instead of in your workshop.
Do you supply shot-blasted and primed plates?Yes, we can shot-blast and apply a shop primer (typically 30–40 micron epoxy or zinc-rich primer) to protect the plate during storage and welding prep.
