Rolling of Deformed BarsBillets are reheated and rolled through grooved rolls that impress the characteristic ribs onto the bar surface while reducing the cross-section. The bars are then cooled under controlled conditions (TMT process) to produce a tough core with a hard outer rim, giving the required strength and bendability. Every heat is tested for yield and tensile strength, elongation, bend performance and rib geometry, with results certified on the mill test certificate.

What is the difference between B500A, B500B and B500C rebar?The letters indicate ductility class: B500B offers good weldability and is the default for general construction in Europe, while B500C has higher ductility for seismic design. B500A is used for lighter, non-critical applications such as mesh.
